Jaylen Waddle had a familiar face deliver his first touchdown catch near the goal line on Sunday afternoon to help the Miami Dolphins pull ahead at New England.

Tua Tagovailoa hit the former Alabama wide receiver Waddle for a three-yard touchdown catch with 10:51 left in the third quarter, to give the Dolphins a 17-10 lead.

In a back-and-forth game with another former Alabama star, Mac Jones, Tagovailoa opened the scoring and Jones answered with his own touchdown pass.

Waddle was a popular target for Tagovailoa, as he made 4 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, on 6 targets by midway through the third quarter. Tagovailoa was 12-for-21 passing for 173 yards and a TD. He was sacked twice, and had one rush for 3 yards, his own TD.
