It took former Alabama standout Jerry Jeudy a bit to get going during his rookie season in the NFL. But now, he’s really going.
On Sunday, Jeudy scored his second career touchdown as part of a big day in the Denver Broncos’ 34-27 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Jeudy set new career highs in receptions (seven) and yards (125) as he eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the first time in his eighth career game.
After scoring his first touchdown in Week 4 against the New York Jets, Jeudy’s second score came early in the fourth quarter at Atlanta. With Denver trailing, 27-6, Jeudy hauled in a pass from Drew Lock at the Falcons’ 6-yard line, turned and scooted into the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown grab.

Jeudy is becoming an instrumental part of the Broncos’ offense, as he was targeted a career-high 14 times. It was also the second straight week that he set a new career high for receiving yards, as he had four receptions for 73 yards in Denver’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers last week.
After playing three seasons at Alabama from 2017-19, Jeudy was selected by the Broncos with the No. 15 overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Next week, Jeudy will look to keep rolling as the Broncos go on the road to face the Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
