Kadyn Proctor has been sidelined due to a left shoulder injury that has kept him off of the field for the first two games of the season. But it looks like Alabama may be getting its starting left tackle from 2023 back in time for the Week 3 contest against the Wisconsin Badgers.

Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer gave an update on Proctor’s status Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference.

“He’s been practicing. He’s doing well,” DeBoer said. “Doing a good job. Really was headed in a really good direction right at the very end of last week. Turned the corner, I think, there. Is in a good spot here. Done a nice job here in the first two days of practice.”

The sophomore originally sustained the injury during pregame warmups ahead of Alabama’s season-opener against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. There was the option to play Proctor in the game against the South Florida Bulls, but DeBoer and the coaching staff have taken a cautious approach with him getting back to 100 percent.

It sounds like he’ll be just that in time for Alabama and Wisconsin to kick off at noon ET in Madison.
