Lee Corso’s head gear pick for the No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 2 Georgia game is in, and he’s got to the home team Crimson Tide coming out on top of a highly-anticipated contest.

Corso sees quarterback Jalen Milroe and his dual-threat ability that has shone through this season making the ultimate difference in the outcome of what is expected to be a closely contended game. It’s going to be interesting to watch just how effective Milroe is in both the pass and the ground game going up against a Georgia defense that has not allowed a touchdown in three games.

Here’s a look at what Corso had to say about his selection (at approximately 1:37):

This marks the dawning of a new era for this in-conference clash as first-year Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer prepares to meet Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs for the first time of his career.

“No, I don’t expect it to be strange,” Smart said during the week of facing an Alabama coach not named Nick Saban this time around. “I mean, that’s just the normal course of progression. I think it’s strange going back there, sometimes because I lived there and our kids were born there and lived there for nine years and had such great experiences there. But we had that in COVID, it was more strange then because of the stands.”

Georgia and Alabama are set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday evening in what could prove to be an even more consequential game in hindsight as the season progresses.
