There was some concern this week that Alabama’s best player would miss the upcoming title game due to a kidney injury. Without hesitation, the first question asked of Minkah Fitzpatrick during his Saturday media availability was his status.

All the concerned Alabama fans can take a big sigh of relief. Fitzpatrick says he is perfectly fine and ready to go.

“I’m great, I’m great,” Fitzpatrick said smiling.

That answered was quickly followed up by a question asking if he had any problems with his rumored injured kidney?

“No sir. I have two kidneys that are functioning at full function. So I’m good.”

So there you have it, Alabama should have its star defensive back ready and able to go in his third consecutive title game appearance.
