Trey Sanders has had a rough go since arriving at Alabama. He missed most of the 2020 season with a hip injury suffered during a car accident.
Prior to the accident, he had appeared in 4 games, running 30 times for 134 yards. Now, the Tide are counting on him to contribute in the backfield behind starter Brian Robinson Jr.
On his Thursday radio show, coach Nick Saban had nothing but positive things to say about how Sanders has worked hard to get back on the field:
Nick Saban provides a glowing review of Trey Sanders on his radio show, saying Sanders has “worked his tail off” to overcome a broken hip in a car accident las season and there isn’t a player he would more want to see have success.

Sanders is listed as one of the top backups to Robinson, along with Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams.
We’ll see what sort of role Sanders carves out for himself this year. Hopefully, he is back to 100% this fall!
