Nick Saban had some fun in College Station on Saturday morning.

The newly-retired coach made his College GameDay debut last weekend in Ireland, but this was his first time on set at a college campus.

As the show was wrapping up on Saturday, Saban was being embraced by a shirtless Pat McAfee and was watching the great Lee Corso dance around in a Leprechaun costume after picking Notre Dame to beat Texas A&M.

Saban couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by his surroundings.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this,” Saban said. “I’ve never been to anything like this. This is so much fun!”

Saban’s GameDay tenure is off to a strong start. Earlier in the show, Saban — to the delight of his fellow analysts — swore while discussing Ohio State’s roster. He also revealed an offensive coordinator he was never able to hire during his time at Alabama despite his best efforts.

Saban will surely be watching on Saturday night for the first game of the Kalen DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa. Kickoff against Western Kentucky is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
