Alabama has not had the season Tide fans are used to so far.

After dropping its Week 2 game to Texas, Alabama struggled on the road at South Florida last week, raising questions about the level this team is on.

Through the early adversity though, Nick Saban believes his team has managed things well, stayed positive and stayed united.

“The team’s been great, they’ve got good energy, good enthusiasm, practices have gone well,” Saban said. “I think everybody has  a tremendous amount of respect for the challenges that we have coming up and I think they’ve responded to it extremely well. We’re all working hard, it’s everybody’s responsibility to try to get it right and find a better way. We’re all working together offensively, defensively, special teams and every part of our team to do that. I think we’re making progress and I think the most important thing is we trust and believe in our players and we’ve got to be positive in our approach to how we try to help them have more success on the field.”

Alabama’s season is far from over and the Tide have a big chance to prove themselves this week as they take on Ole Miss. Despite the early struggles, Alabama is still capable of an SEC Championship appearance and even could make its way back into playoff conversations, and it begins with getting through adversity.
