Passing chart shows one area of the field Jalen Hurts struggles to attack

There is one area of the football field where Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts tends to struggle.

That would be the left side — or at least when he’s throwing to his left — according to CFB Film Room.

Hurts seems to be best throwing in the middle of the field, in terms of yardage. The vast majority of his passing yardage (1,269 yards) has come in the middle of the field, 10-19 yards from the line of scrimmage.

However, most of Hurts’ touchdown passes (five) have come on the right side of the field. His completion percentages tend to be best in the middle and right side of the field, as well.

It’s that left side where things change.

Hurts has only thrown three touchdown passes to the left side of the field, and none over 20 yards. His completion percentages are in the 50s, and his yardage totals are minimal.
