Alabama got some bad news on Friday morning, as it was reported that freshman QB Mac Jones was arrested for driving under the influence.

According to AL.com, the third-string quarterback also faces a charge of improper ID by a minor.

The arrest occurred on Friday morning, according to the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s Office. He reportedly was involved in a car accident in which no one was hurt:

Jones has yet to appear in a game for the Crimson Tide, and he will likely take a redshirt this year, entering the 2018 season as a redshirt freshman.

Jones was a 3-star recruit in the 2017 class and one of two quarterbacks, along with Tua Tagovailoa, in the Crimson Tide’s class.
