Tua Tagovailoa came in during the second half of the National Championship Game and led the Alabama Crimson Tide to a come-from-behind win over Georgia.

He will compete for the starting job next year, and may be the favorite to win it at this point. Meanwhile, his younger brother, 4-star 2019 QB Taulia Tagovailoa, has a big decision to make about his future.

During a Mr. Football ceremony on Tuesday, Taulia said he’s happy for his brother, but also wants to make a name for himself (via AL.com):

“What my brother has done, especially in the second half (against Georgia), is a blessing,” Taulia said Tuesday at the annual Mr. Football luncheon in Montgomery, where he finished third in the voting. “I’m proud of the things that I have done, but I want to do more. I want to do my own thing and make a name for myself.”

He didn’t necessarily rule out following Tua to Alabama, but he has offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida and several other big programs from around the country. He said he plans to graduate in December and enroll in whatever school he chooses at the start of the spring semester:

“I feel like it’s God’s plan for me to be here,” Taulia said. “I’m going to work on getting better and getting ready for 2018.”

According to 247Sports, Tagovailoa is the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2019 and the No. 8 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
