WATCH: Alabama coach destroys 2017 second place trophy to remind players what they play for
Scott Cochran isn’t messing around.
Alabama’s notorious strength and conditioning coach had a very strong but clear message for his players this week as he destroyed the 2017 second place trophy the program received following its defeat at the hands of Clemson in last season’s title game. The video is pretty great, and of course, it’s full of explicit language.
Judging by the video, the players appear to appreciate the gesture. (The original video was deleted but here’s a GIF and another video of Cochran smashing the “trophy”)

Who knew the College Football Playoff gave out second place trophies? Be that as it may, Alabama doesn’t have theirs anymore, it’s shattered all over the locker room floor.
