Heading into Saturday’s game between No. 1 Alabama and Arkansas, most assumed the Razorbacks were thoroughly outmatched.
The Crimson Tide wasted literally no time proving those people correct.
On the first offensive play of the game, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hit receiver Irv Smith for a 76-yard, catch-and-run touchdown pass. The play was a little difficult to see because of ESPN’s “weather technical difficulties,” but you can view it below.

This is nothing new, of course. The Crimson Tide have jumped out to massive first-half leads in each of its games this season, and it seemed reasonable to think Nick Saban’s squad would do the same against one-win Arkansas.
Indeed, Alabama has built a 21-0 lead with about five minutes left in the first quarter.
