The Alabama Crimson Tide family was saddened Friday by the passing of superfan Walt Gary.

As SDS shared earlier, Nick Saban released a statement while AD Greg Byrne and others have shared tributes to Gary. One more tribute is definitely worth your time. Former Alabama QB Jalen Hurts shared a minute-long video of the two interacting during Hurts’s time with the Crimson Tide. The video is accompanied by a heartfelt note from Hurts looking back on the “joy, energy and love” Gary brought to the program, calling a him a hero.
