Will Anderson Jr. said he blocks out the fan and media criticism of Alabama’s struggles this season, and instead focuses on the task at hand. So while fans and media may focus on close calls against Texas and Texas A&M, Anderson said Alabama is still playing to its goal.
“I think the guys, we do a really good job of not focusing on that stuff,” Anderson said on “The Paul Finebaum Show.” “Because we’re the ones who have to go out there and play. We’re the ones going out there sacrificing our bodies doing what we need to do to win games. Every win may not be a win that’s a blow out. But at least we’re going out there and we’re working hard every week, our effort’s great. We have some mental errors here and there. We’re still Alabama as a team, great defense, great offense. We’re still playing to the standard of Alabama and we have some stuff to work through. But at the end of the day, we’re still the standard.”
