Zion Grady, a 5-star edge out of Troy, Alabama, will stay in state to play college football.

Grady’s finalists were Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Georgia, and he picked the Crimson Tide. Grady is ranked the No. 1 edge in the Class of 2025, and the No. 19 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has a reported 22 offers, and was recruited to Alabama by Coleman Hutzler and Robert Bala.

Here’s a portion of his scouting report from 247Sports:

“An uber-productive pass rusher that wins primarily with speed and finesse. Size hasn’t been third-party verified, but was believed to be hovering right around 6-foot-3.5, 225 pounds summer before junior season. Checks off some of the desired boxes with his multi-sport participation (hoops) and testing numbers (4.4 in the short shuttle).”

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound elite pass rusher leads his high school team this season with 70 tackles, 21 of those for loss, along with 9 sacks and one interception, according to the Tuscaloosa News. He reportedly attended Alabama home games against Texas and Tennessee this season.

Here are some of his highlights from Hudl:
