Arkansas wants Razorback Stadium completely red for Saturday’s top-25 Week 5 showdown. With No. 2 Alabama coming to Fayetteville to face No. 20 Arkansas, the Razorbacks are having their first-ever red out.

Sam Pittman’s squad is the only SEC West team to have already played 2 conference games in 2022, going 1-1. In the division standings, Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M are all 1-0 in conference play. Alabama and Ole Miss are the only 2 SEC West teams still undefeated after Week 4.

Alabama has dominated the series against Arkansas. The Razorbacks’ last win over the Crimson Tide came in 2006, a 24-23 victory in Fayetteville. Alabama vacated a 41-38 win over the Hogs in 2007.

Saturday’s meeting was on track to be a top-10 showdown until Arkansas’ loss to Texas A&M in the Southwest Classic. The Razorbacks fell to No. 20 in the new AP Top 25.

It’s always a big deal to have an undefeated, highly-ranked Alabama team in town. With the red out, it should be an electric atmosphere.
