Arkansas fans have mixed reactions to news of Chad Morris hire

On Tuesday night, it was reported that SMU coach Chad Morris was expected to be named the next head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Morris has been in charge of the Mustangs for three years now, and while his 14-22 record isn’t that great, he took over a program that had just been hit hard by NCAA sanctions.
Still, Arkansas fans had mixed reactions to the reported hire, with some thinking it was a home-run hire for the Razorbacks and some thinking it was a big miss for the program.
Here are some of the top reactions from fans in favor of the hire:

However, other fans weren’t quite ready to go all-in on the former SMU coach, expressing a more hesitant attitude toward the hire:

Not saying we could pull Gus from Auburn but there where better options for the university of Arkansas than Chad Morris.

How Morris fills out his coaching staff will be critical to the success he’s able to have in Fayetteville. If he can’t get the right assistants in place, he’ll struggle to compete in the SEC West.
