Injuries in practice are, unfortunately, part of sports. Usually, those injuries don’t involve coaches. Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman revealed Thursday that he will need surgery after being injured in Razorbacks practice earlier this month.
In a series of tweets, Mussleman revealed that he was hurt on Dec. 2 when Trey Wade landed on the coach’s shoulder during a closeout drill. Musselman has a torn rotator cuff and will need surgery, something he hopes to put off until after the Hogs’ season.
Unfortunately was notified that the MRI showed a torn rotator cuff and surgery is required 🤦♂️ https://t.co/2KnkUMtiCs

Unfortunately the shot did not relieve any pain. No doubt shoulder injury a tough one.

Arkansas defeated Elon 81-55 Tuesday. Musselman’s squad returns to the court on Dec. 29, the start of SEC play, to face Mississippi State.
