Former Arkansas captain Casey Dick criticizes ESPN for featuring his HS team’s QB in ‘C’Mon Man’ segment
Former NFL star wideout Randy Moss has become a fixture on ESPN’s NFL coverage, including his pregame segment called “C’Mon, Man!” on Monday Night Football.
This week, Moss used a mistake made by a quarterback at Fayetteville High School in Arkansas, who made a mistake by taking a knee on fourth down with time on the clock, that allowed the opponent, Central, to kick a game-winning field goal.
Moss used the clip in the segment, and received criticism from Fayetteville’s head coach, former Arkansas quarterback Casey Dick.
It’s disheartening to see @espn run a segment like this on a kid. I as HIS HEAD COACH take full responsibility. Any criticism needs to be directed towards me. @BladenFike is a tremendous young man with a bright future! Proud to be his coach! #FamilY

The player himself had a response as well.
I took my eye off the clock. However, criticizing me off of one play does not define me as a Quarterback. I am much better than that! I love my team and my coaches! Thanks for having my back. #familY #PurpleReign @CdickC @RandyMoss https://t.co/Nfvl7wXYaE

Dick played quarterback for Arkansas from 2006-2008, and now leads the Fayetteville program. Moss likely did not intend to hurt the player’s feelings, but it is good to see Dick take a stand for his quarterback.
