KJ Jefferson wears the No. 1 jersey for the Arkansas Razorbacks, and it clearly has SEC fans thinking of another legendary No. 1.

As Arkansas has raced out to a 17-3 halftime lead against No. 7 Texas A&M in Dallas on Saturday afternoon, fans are making the comparison to Auburn legend Cam Newton.

As you can see below, fans flocked to Twitter to praise the first half the Arkansas QB had, tweeting that his game reminds them of the former Auburn Heisman winner:

In the first half against the stout Aggies defense, Jefferson threw for 202 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also ran 3 times for 18 yards.

We’ll see if he can lead the Hogs to the upset of the Aggies in the second half in a win that would surely make Newton proud.
