The Minnesota Vikings tenure for former Auburn K Daniel Carlson was short-lived, even after the team traded up in the fifth round to take him in this year’s NFL Draft.
The team picked Carlson, Auburn’s all-time leading scorer, even after re-signing Kai Forbath earlier this spring.
But in Sunday’s tie to the Green Bay Packers, Carlson was 0-for-3, including misses from 48 yards, and two in overtime, from 49 and 35 yards. After the game, Carlson said he attributed the misses to a lack of confidence from the earlier missed kicks.
Last season for Auburn, Carlson made 23-of-31 field goal attempts.
