Auburn hosts Oklahoma in Week 5 for what will be the Sooners’ first-ever SEC road game. For one Sooner in particular, he received the rudest of welcomes to Jordan-Hare Stadium.

As the team was taking the field in the pregame, an Auburn cheerleader collided with an Oklahoma player and completely de-cleated him. One eagle-eyed fan in the stands caught the interaction on video.

Oklahoma is coming off a 25-15 loss to Tennessee in Norman last weekend that left the program doing a little bit of soul-searching. It was just the first loss of the season for Brent Venables’ bunch, but it featured a brutal offensive performance that spoiled an otherwise excellent defensive performance.

Auburn (2-2) also entered the game off a loss. And both teams officially made quarterback changes ahead of the game. For Oklahoma, the Sooners started freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. for the first time, replacing Jackson Arnold. Auburn moved back from Hank Brown to Payton Thorne after Brown dealt with the same turnover issues that cost Thorne his job in the first place.

The 2 teams are battling on ABC. After Oklahoma took an early 7-0 lead, Auburn responded with 2 second-quarter touchdowns to go on top.
