Auburn’s coaching search is about to really heat up as November gets underway.

Bryan Harsin was fired on Monday, and now, Auburn is looking for its next coach.

On Saturday morning, College GameDay analysts weighed in on Auburn’s coaching search, and David Pollack floated a name that “ain’t going to be scared of nobody,” — Lane Kiffin. Kiffin, of course, is a popular name for the Auburn job.

“Those are some good names (Hugh Freeze, Lane Kiffin, Bill O’Brien, Matt Rhule and Mark Stoops), but I’d take a couple people off the list,” Pollack said. “I would take Matt Rhule off the list just because you’ve tried an outside-the-SEC-guy, and nobody got behind the team. Bryan Harsin is a good coach. I don’t think anyone thinks that Bryan Harsin is not a good coach.

“Listen, if you can get Lane Kiffin. I think Lane brings that swag. He ain’t going to be scared of nobody. I think Lane would be a great hire by them.”

Rece Davis echoed Pollack’s comments of Kiffin.

“Auburn people would love that (hiring Kiffin), and he would not be taking shy about taking shots (at Alabama),” Davis said.

Cadillac Williams leads Auburn Saturday night against Mississippi State. The game is at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
