The Iron Bowl rivalry never sleeps, especially on the recruiting trail. Auburn made a big move toward flipping a 2025 offensive line target who initially committed to Alabama.

Dontrell Glover told 247Sports on Monday that he has decommitted from Alabama. Glover was on The Plains taking an Auburn visit over the weekend.

A standout of Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia, Glover’s listed measurements are 6-3 and 290 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Glover is rated 4-stars, the No. 10 interior offensive lineman, No. 24 player in the Peach State and No. 169 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Glover committed to Alabama on April 13. In addition to Alabama and Auburn, he has been offered by Tennessee, South Carolina, Miami, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Florida, Mizzou, Ole Miss and others.

Eric Wolford, Alabama’s offensive line coach on Nick Saban’s staff the past two seasons, was Glover’s primary recruiter. New UA head coach Kalen DeBoer is reportedly bringing his offensive line coach Scott Huff from Washington to Alabama.

With Glover off the board, Alabama has five verbal commitments in the 2025 class. Auburn currently has eight pledges in its 2025 class, Hugh Freeze’s second full cycle after the 2023 transition group.

It’s no surprise that Auburn and other SEC rivals are looking to poach from Alabama following the coaching change. We’ll see how things for Glover and other top prospects.
