Auburn trails Georgia 20-10 through two quarters, but WR Ryan Davis has been one of the bright spots for the Tigers. Davis has hauled in all six targets for 50 receiving yards through the first two quarters.
On AU’s touchdown drive, Davis had a nine-yard reception to give him 154 catches in his career, breaking the record held by Courtney Taylor.
While breaking a record is always a big deal, Davis is probably more concerned with trying to help the Tigers overcome the 20-10 deficit at Sanford Stadium in the second half.
Davis has been QB Jarrett Stidham’s favorite target in the game. Stidham is 12-of-17 for 108 yards passing so far on the night.
