Former Auburn OG Braden Smith raising money for autism at NFL Scouting Combine
Braden Smith now has a little extra motivation in Indianapolis in a couple weeks.
The former Auburn offensive lineman will try and boost his draft stock at the NFL Scouting Combine. He’ll also be looking to raise money and awareness for a cause that’s near and dear to him.
Smith will pledge a donation to Autism Speaks for every bench press rep that he does at the combine.
Proud of All-American OG Braden Smith and his efforts to raise funds for @autismspeaks at the @NFLCombine.

Smith detailed his first-person account spending time with kids who had autism through a program in his hometown of Olathe, Kansas.
If all goes according to plan, Smith will reach his projected goal of 35 bench press reps and $3,000 worth of pledges.
Smith is projected as a Day 2 selection in this April’s NFL draft. Perhaps the Auburn All-American can help children with autism by breaking the combine record for bench press reps (49).
