In what may have been the most heartwarming story of Day 2 at the NFL Draft, former Auburn OL Shon Coleman was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round.
The announcement signaled the next chapter of the story of a cancer survivor.
Coleman overcame leukemia to continue a successful career at Auburn, and will now ultimately get a chance to star in the NFL.

In 2014, Coleman was a guest at the NFL Draft. He announced the selection of Aaron Donald, and was told by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that he expected to see him back in two years. While Coleman wasn’t on the stage, his name was certainly called.
The NFL Network aired a replay of Coleman’s visit to the 2014 NFL Draft when he was selected on Friday night:

Shon Coleman beat leukemia. Great story. Might have been a 1st round pick next year if he stayed in school.

Shon Coleman is a great story Browns fans will soon learn. Beat cancer just after enrolling at Auburn. Bounced back in a big way.
