The SEC on CBS released another edition of the “Storytime with Uncle Verne” video series, where legendary play-by-play broadcaster Verne Lundquist recalls his favorite memories while covering the conference.
Lundquist talks about how Auburn had already enjoyed a little magic during its 2013 season but really the world hadn’t seen anything yet.
The Tigers converted on this improbable Hail Mary against Georgia — a feat that left many in shock — before doing one better just three weeks later with the famous “Kick-Six” play against Alabama.
Clearly this team (and play in specific) had an impact on Lundquist, who will be stepping down from his role with SEC on CBS after over 15 years of service.
