Tyquan Thornton is at the head of the class of some fast wide receivers in this year’s draft class. And he might have just broken the all-time NFL Scouting Combine with an incredible number.

Thornton turned in 4.21 on Thursday night in a remarkable feat on a night where almost every wide receiver turned heads. It was not a surprise for those who are familiar with Thornton’s background. Coming out of high school, Thornton was also a standout in track, including a personal best of 10.50 in 100 meters and a 200-meter PR is 21.07.

The all-time record is held by former Washington WR John Ross, who was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals and played last season with the New York Giants. Ross ran a 4.22 at the 2017 Combine, which beat Chris Johnson’s previous record time.

Thornton last season led the Bears with 62 catches for 942 yards and 10 touchdowns. He helped Baylor knock off Oklahoma State in the Big 12 title game with 6 receptions for 71 yards and a TD, and Ole Miss fans might remember him catching a TD in the Sugar Bowl to help take down the Rebels in 2021.
