An original member of Nick Saban’s Alabama coaching staff, Curt Cignetti spent 2007-10 as the Tide’s receivers coach and recruiting coordinator. During his time with Alabama, Cignetti coached two of the leading receivers in school history in D.J. Hall and Julio Jones. Alabama also won back-to-back SEC West titles and one national championship during Cignetti’s time with the team.

Cignetti became the head coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Division II school, in 2011. He also has worked as an assistant coach for Pittsburgh, Davidson, Rice, Temple and North Carolina State.
