Garrick McGee began his coaching career as a quality control coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000. After stops at Toledo and UNLV, he became the offensive coordinator at Northwestern in 2006-07.

McGee served as quarterbacks coach at Arkansas from 2008-09, spent the next two seasons as the Razorbacks’ offensive coordinator and then became UAB’s head coach in 2012.

McGee left a head coaching job with the Blazers in 2013 in favor of Louisville’s offensive coordinator position under Bobby Petrino, with whom he worked at Arkansas.
