Ankney spent seven seasons as co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. He arrived in Columbia in 1998 when Larry Smith was hired as head coach. During his tenure with the Tigers, he was nominated for the Broyles Award, recognizing college football’s top assistant coach.
After living in Birmingham, Ala., Jordan left the ground zero of SEC Nation to head south to Florida to tell the unique stories of the renowned tradition of SEC football. In his free time, his mission is to find the best locales around.
