Ron Middleton, a 10-year NFL veteran as a tight end after playing college football at Alabama, spent his only SEC season with the University of Alabama in 2007.
Middleton, part of coach Nick Saban’s inaugural staff in Tuscaloosa, coached tight ends and special teams for the Tide. He also has coached at Troy, Ole Miss and Duke in addition to Tampa Bay and Jacksonville in the NFL.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
