The 2022 NCAA Baseball Tournament has reached the College World Series, with the 8-team field in Omaha getting finalized on Monday night.
In the last super-regional action of the year, Stanford finished off UConn in 3 games and Auburn won a decisive Game 3 at Oregon State to punch tickets to Omaha. Stanford and Auburn join Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Arkansas in the College World Series.
Of the 64 teams total in regional play, 32 were selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Baseball Committee and 16 national seeds hosted regionals tournaments. The winners of the regional tournament advanced to the super regionals. The winners of the 8 super regionals made up the field of 8 teams advancing to Omaha for the College World Series.
