For the first time in the College World Series, Tennessee must win to keep its season alive.
At BetMGM, the Volunteers are favored in Game 2. A UT win over Texas A&M would force a decisive Game 3 on Monday.
BetMGM has Tennessee favored by 1.5 runs. Ahead of Game 2, the sportsbook shared numbers with Saturday Down South for how the early action shows the game is being bet.

The number of spread bets is nearly evenly split, with slightly more on Texas A&M. The handle, the amount of money bet, however, tips toward Tennessee.
Tennessee -1.5 is priced at -160. It would take a $160 bet on a Vol victory to win $100 for a $260 payout. Texas A&M +1.5 is priced at +125. If the Aggies can keep it within 1 run or win outright, a $100 wager would win $125 for a $225 payout.
College World Series Game 2 spread bets
- Tennessee -1.5 (-160 at BetMGM): 49% bets, 57% handle
- Texas A&M +1.5 (+125 at BetMGM): 51% bets, 43% handle
College World Series Game 2 moneyline bets
One run makes quite the difference for bettors backing the Vols in Game 2. UT backers on the -160 spread are being asked to lay 1.5 runs for a 2-run victory. A 1-run win on the moneyline is priced a bit steeper at -225, meaning it would take a $225 wager to win $100 for a $325 payout.
By number of bets, the moneyline action is similarly close to the spread splits, with a few more on Texas A&M.
UT backers are again showing more confidence. The split on the handle (amount of money bet) is 70-30 Tennessee on the moneyline.
- Tennessee to win Game 2 (-225 at BetMGM): 46% bets, 70% handle
- Texas A&M to win Game 2 (+165 at BetMGM): 54% bets, 30% handle
Game 2 over/under bets
Texas A&M and Tennessee combined for 14 runs in Saturday’s Game 1. Bettors like another double-digit output Sunday afternoon.
At BetMGM, Sunday’s over/under opened at 10.5 runs. It moved to 11.5 by Sunday morning. The over is priced at +105, meaning a $100 bet would win $105 for a $205 payout.
The book will be hoping for a low-scoring game, as 95% of the money bet is on the over.
We’ll see how it all plays out at 2 p.m. ET. The game is airing on ABC and streaming on ESPN+.
