SEC baseball expands to 16 teams next year with the additions of Oklahoma and Texas into the conference.
All 16 teams will play 2 permanent opponents starting in 2025. A report from D1baseball’s Kendall Rogers revealed each team’s opponents on Thursday.
Here’s who all 16 teams will face off against every year starting in 2025:
- Alabama: Tennessee, Auburn
- Arkansas: Ole Miss, Mizzou
- Auburn: Alabama, Georgia
- Florida: Georgia, South Carolina
- Georgia: Florida, Auburn
- Kentucky: South Carolina, Vanderbilt
- LSU: Mississippi State, Texas A&M
- Mississippi State: LSU, Ole Miss
- Mizzou: Arkansas, Oklahoma
- Oklahoma: Mizzou, Texas
- Ole Miss: Mississippi State, Arkansas
- South Carolina: Florida, Kentucky
- Tennessee: Vanderbilt, Alabama
- Texas: Oklahoma, Texas A&M
- Texas A&M: Texas A&M, LSU
- Vanderbilt: Kentucky, Tennessee
It seems like the SEC got most everything right here. The traditional rivalries such as MSU-Ole Miss, Vanderbilt-Tennessee, Texas-Oklahoma and so on are all kept alive with a mostly intact sense of regionality as well.
Are there any missing matchups that the SEC missed on?
