The Kentucky Wildcats stayed alive in the SEC Baseball Tournament Saturday by eliminating LSU 7-2.

Left hander Tyler Bosma pitched a strong game, as he threw a no-hitter through 6 innings. LSU’s Tyler McManus broke up Bosma’s no-hitter with an RBI triple in the 7th inning. Kentucky’s John Thrasher was injured on the play after crashing into the centerfield wall. Daniel Harper eventually came in for Kentucky and shut the door against LSU.

Kentucky’s Daniel Harris recorded 2 hits, an RBI and one scored run. Nine-hole hitter Jacob Plastiak had a huge day, as he recorded 3 hits including a homerun.

The Wildcats pitching staff held LSU’s first 4 hitters to 0-14, including the SEC Player of the Year Dylan Crews.

Kentucky will now face the No. 1 seed Tennessee Volunteers. The winner of the Cats and Vols will advance to Sunday’s SEC Championship Game.

Kentucky was the only SEC team to beat Tennessee in a 3-game series during the regular season, and one can bet the Vols would love another opportunity to play Kentucky. It should be a nice rivalry showdown.
