Deion Sanders off to 1-0 start as Jackson State wins big

The Deion Sanders era at Jackson State got off to a strong start on Sunday. Coach Prime’s squad defeated NAIA program Edward Waters College 53-0.
The JSU Tigers opened up a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised from there. It was 31-0 Jackson State at halftime, with Sanders’ team adding another 22 points in the second half while keeping Edward Waters scoreless.

Jackson State will play Mississippi Valley State next weekend.
