High school football team gets police escort after students from opposing school reportedly ‘jumped’ a player

The Morgan County High School football team had to have a police escort to the interstate after students from the opposing school, Social Circle, reportedly proceeded to “jump” one of their players while the team was loading onto the bus following a game on Friday night.
According to the report from Lance McCurley of Lake Oconee News, the source providing the information, said that no one was harmed in the incident and that there were several witnesses to the event. The source also indicated that police took little time to respond and that students were arrested.
There is limited information public about the incident currently, but more details should emerge as the story continues to develop.
A source has confirmed that Morgan County’s football team had to have “a police escort to I-20” stemming from an incident that occurred following the game against Social Circle. Several Social Circle students “jumped”a Bulldogs’ player while the team was loading the bus. (1/2)
