It has been a horrid start to the 2021 college football season for a once-proud Washington program, which has started 0-2 with a road loss at Michigan that was preceded by an embarrassing home loss to FCS member Montana.

Huskies coach Jimmy Lake and his team are playing host to Arkansas State today and to say that fan turnout is poor would be an understatement.

Husky Stadium holds more than 70,000 fans and has a reputation for being one of the louder stadiums in college football, especially for a venue of its size.

But on this day, it’s nearly empty and anything but boisterous, with Washington holding a 21-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter.
