Texas is back … in the loss column after being upset at home by unranked TCU

Does anyone actually want to win the Big 12 this year? It sure doesn’t seem like the top teams in the league want to.
Last week, then-No. 3 Oklahoma lost to Kansas State. Earlier this season, Iowa State lost to Louisiana. On Saturday afternoon, it was Texas’s turn to disappoint.
The No. 9 Longhorns hosted unranked TCU on Saturday and it was a back-and-forth affair. After needing overtime to beat unranked Texas Tech last weekend, the Longhorns’ luck ran out. TCU went into Austin and won 33-31.
Driving late in the fourth quarter to attempt to take the lead, the Longhorns fumbled at the goal line, which ended up being what clinched the game for the Horned Frogs:

TCU is now 6-2 against Texas since joining the Big 12, so it’s safe to say coach Gary Patterson has the Longhorns’ number.
Now, the Longhorns will try to regroup, as the Big 12 is still apparently anyone’s to win, as Oklahoma State is the only highly ranked team in the conference without a loss.
