The Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pittsburgh is being contested for the first time in nearly 11 years. And there was plenty of reason to expect some nastiness in the game between two programs that clearly don’t like each other.
But sometimes the intensity can go a little overboard as evidenced by Pitt running back Daniel Carter getting frustrated in the pile after a play.

There was a little pushing and shoving after the incident, but it doesn’t appear as if anyone was hurt.
The game itself has been a tremendous back-and-forth battle in front of a record crowd at Acrisure Stadium. Hopefully it will come down to the final possession.
However, let’s clean it up out there on the field.
