Dan Mullen’s Florida program signed a top 10 recruiting class during the 2019 recruiting cycle, but unfortunately, that class has already suffered some defections and a few others have failed to make it to campus.

While those losses may not hurt the team for the coming season, they would be compounded if three other players the program are waiting to arrive don’t show up in time for the season. The good news? According to Mullen, one of those players has already arrived in time for the start of training camp and the other two are set to make it in the near future.

Three-star receiver Dionte Marks took to social media on Wednesday to announce his arrival and that’s the one player the Florida coach confirmed has already arrived on campus.

“Marks has reported to training camp,” Mullen said on Thursday during his press conference.

As for four-star offensive lineman Wardrick Wilson, a native of the Bahamas, he has been dealing with issues with the Visa Waiver Program. According to Mullen, the Florida staff was well aware of that potential issue before signing the lineman and fully anticipate an eventual arrival from the four-star prospect.

“Wilson – is, that’s not a surprise for us — that situation,” the Gator coach noted. “I think we had a lot of the information on it and we knew that was going to be a process that we would not know a calendar or a timing on the process. To be honest with you, our expectations where it would happen at some time, but it wasn’t, we weren’t thinking it would happen immediately.”

Lastly, four-star receiver Arjei Henderson is also expected to arrive on campus according to Mullen.

“Henderson is finishing up, he will be here this weekend and he has things to finish up just because of where his school calendar was,” he said.

After providing those updates, the Gator coach also confirmed the season-ending injury to the younger David Reese.

“David Reese has the injury, unfortunately, where he will miss the season,” Mullen added.
