Feleipe Franks became the first Florida QB to accomplish impressive feat since 2010

As he has every game in the 2018 season, Feleipe Franks started the game Saturday at quarterback for Florida. He was the first Gators quarterback to start every regular-season game since John Brantley in 2010.
Injuries, suspensions and benchings led to at least two UF quarterbacks taking starts in the 2011-17 seasons. Jeff Driskel started most of the 2012 campaign, but Jacoby Brissett also started that season. Instability at the quarterback position caused issues on offense for former coaches Will Muschamp (2011-14) and Jim McElwain (2015-17).
First-year coach Dan Mullen is hoping to build some stability at the quarterback position. In the first spring and fall under Mullen, Franks bested fellow redshirt sophomore Kyle Trask and true freshman Emory Jones for the starting job. On the season, Franks enters the day 159-of-273 passing for 2,030 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions as well as rushing 84 times for 230 yards and six touchdowns.
