Florida AD Scott Stricklin weighs in after tweet seemed to tease black uniforms vs. LSU

On Wednesday afternoon, Florida fans were abuzz after a tweet from the team equipment staff seemed to tease the potential for wearing black uniforms on Saturday against LSU.

One Florida reporter noted that LSU usually wears white jerseys at home, so it would make sense for the Gators if they wanted to wear black.

However, Florida AD Scott Stricklin weighed in with a response to that tweet, saying the Gators would not be wearing black after all:

As you can see, though, he added “this weekend” as a qualifier. It does seem the Gators will wear black at some point this year based on that wording.

Could it be for the South Carolina game the following weekend? Or, maybe, the Georgia game on Nov. 2? It’ll be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
