Florida beats out multiple top programs for 4-star WR, in-state prospect
Florida added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday evening.
The Gators landed a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Nae’Shaun Montgomery. He chose Florida over programs like LSU, Florida State and Penn State, amongst others.

Montgomery is a huge in-state pickup for the Gators. He’s the No. 179 overall player and the No. 18 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 30 player from the state of Florida.
Montgomery attends Miami Central High School in Miami. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds.
Montgomery visited Gainesville back in the spring. He also made trips to LSU, Alabama, Penn State and other programs prior to making this decision.
Florida is slowly but surely making progress in the class of 2025. Despite some long-term uncertainty with the program, Billy Napier and his staff have now earned 14 commitments in the class of 2025. He’s the 3rd wide receiver to join UF’s class at this point in the cycle. Overall, the group ranks No. 24 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
