This is nice to see as fans do not typically witness teams exchange pleasantries after battling. The Louisiana-based McNeese Cowboys clearly know how to be a good guest.
The Gators won the matchup by a score of 49-7 to improve to 1-1 on the season. Graham Mertz played a near-perfect game, finishing with 193 yards and 1 TD. Montrell Johnson also had a nice game, collecting 119 yards on the ground and 2 TDs.
The Gators will next welcome the Tennessee Vols to The Swamp in Week 3 for a tough matchup to open SEC play.
