Florida announces Homecoming date for 2020 football season

Mark your calendar Florida fans, Homecoming has officially been set down in Gainesville.

The school announced on Tuesday that Florida’s 2020 Homecoming date has been set for Saturday, Oct. 3. The Gators are set to play South Carolina in The Swamp that weekend.

According to Florida, the Gators have a 68-26-2 overall record in Homecoming games and have been 26-5 on Homecoming dating back to 1989. The Gators faced off against Auburn last season for Homecoming and beat the Tigers 24-13, handing Gus Malzahn’s team its first loss of the 2019 season in the process.

Florida has not scheduled South Carolina as it’s Homecoming opponent since 2004 when the Gators beat the Gamecocks 48-14.

  • SEPT. 19 vs. South Alabama

  • OCT. 3 vs. South Carolina (Homecoming)

  • OCT. 24 — BYE WEEK
  • OCT. 31 vs. Georgia (in Jacksonville)
  • NOV. 7 @ Vanderbilt
  • NOV. 14 vs. Missouri
  • NOV. 21 vs. New Mexico State
  • NOV. 28 @ Florida State
