Florida’s 2022 recruiting class continues to grow. It did so again on Friday afternoon.

That’s when the Gators received a commitment from interior offensive lineman Jalen Farmer, who is 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds and attends Eastside High School in Covington, Ga. He hasn’t been rated by 247Sports.

Farmer also had offers from Georgia Tech and East Carolina, but he went with Florida, which extended him an offer on Aug. 1. He announced his decision on Twitter:

Farmer visited with the Gators in June and July, the latter being when he participated in their Friday Night Lights camp. And it’s clear that he came away impressed with the program.

“Everything was great,” Farmer told Blake Alderman of 247Sports.com. “The campus was beautiful and the coaching staff is very loving. They are big on family and building relationships.”

Florida now has 14 commitments in its 2022 class. Farmer is the third offensive lineman to commit to the Gators in the cycle, although the other 2 are both tackles — 4-star Tony Livingston and 3-star David Conner — so he fills a different need on the interior.

Here are some of Farmer’s highlights from last season on Hudl:
